About Dr Ang Choon Kiat
Dr Ang obtained his MB ChB from University of Aberdeen Medical School in 1994 and was awarded the winner of Medical Defence Union Elective Bursaries Competition. He began his housemanship there after and worked in various hospitals in the United Kingdom. In 1999, Dr Ang was awarded Member of the Royal College of Physician (MRCP), UK and practiced as a Clinical Specialist/Physician in Sarawak General Hospital since. He received his advance cardiology training in Sarawak General Hospital and subsequently in Australia for his Interventional Cardiology Fellow. Dr Ang serves as a consultant cardiologist and interventional cardiologist and director of cardiac care unit at Sarawak heart center since August 2005. As an experienced cardiologist, Dr Ang performs more than thousands of various cardiology. Procedures such as coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty, renal angiogram and angioplasty, echocardiography, pacemaker, and more. Dr Ang currently lectures for the Faculty of Medicine & Health Science in University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). He has also participated in many local and international medical meetings and contributing as a co-investigator to many studies. Other than delivering seminars and public talks, Dr. Ang has also published many papers in international journals, and scientific papers.
