About Dr. Siew Hueh Fen
Dr. Siew Hueh Fen, obtained her MBBS from National University of Singapore in 1981 and she won the Beecham Book Prize (Biochemistry) in 1978 and Merit Scholarship from government of Singapore. After completing her housemanship at Singapore General Hospital, she served as Medical Officer in various departments at Singapore General Hospitals. Dr. Siew served as Registrar at the Paediatric Departments in School Health Services and Alexandra Hospital, Singapore. She obtained the MMED (Paediatrics) in 1986 from National University of Singapore. Subsequently she also obtained MRCP (UK) together with MRCP (Ireland) in 1987. She was awarded the Heinz Fellowship by British Paediatric Association in 1991. She was then attached to the Regional Cardiothoracic and Respiratory Centre Killingbeck Hospital, Leeds,UK for training and experience in Paediatric Cardiology especially in Paediatric Echocardiolography. She has published in the paper of Academy of Medicine Congress 1982 (co-authored with YEO PBB) with the topic of ‘Grave’s Disease’ and Malaysian Medical Journal in March 1991 with the topic of ‘Rett Syndrome’. Her Special interest is in Ambulatory Paediatrics, especially Paediatric Respiratory Problems. She returned to Sarawak in September 1988, she served as Consultant Paediatrician in Lau King Howe Hospital, Sibu, Sarawak General Hospital. On December 1991, Dr. Siew left for private practice at Normah Medical Specialist Centre. Dr.Siew is currently attached to Kuching Specialist Hospital as Resident Consultant Paediatrician.
